U.S. President Donald Trump spoke about developments in the Iranian file, stressing that Tehran is showing a clear desire to reach an agreement, while describing the U.S. moves against Iran as a “military operation” rather than a war, saying they had long been necessary.
Trump noted that the pressure and naval blockade imposed on Iran had deprived it of oil revenues, expressing hope that a solution to the ongoing crisis would be reached soon.
On another front, Trump stressed that the details of the talks with Iran remain confined to him and a very limited number of people, while also revealing the possibility of a review related to reducing the U.S. military presence in both Italy and Spain.
