The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, arrived at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, marking the start of an official visit to Lebanon, during which he is expected to hold a series of meetings to follow up on the situation in the country and the wider region.
Upon his arrival, Guterres was received by the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis‑Plasschaert, along with a number of senior officials and staff members of the international organization working in Lebanon.
