Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has published a message composed of six points addressed to Muslims around the world and to the governments of Islamic countries.
The message reads:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
To Muslims worldwide and to the governments of Islamic countries:
1- Iran has been subjected to a deceitful U.S.-Zionist aggression during negotiations, aimed at dismantling the country. This attack resulted in the martyrdom of a great leader and devotee of the Islamic Revolution, as well as several civilians and military leaders. Yet, the aggressors faced strong national and Islamic resistance from the Iranian people.
2- You know that, with few exceptions and only within political limits, no Islamic country stood with the Iranian people. Nevertheless, the Iranian people, through their strong will, were able to repel the aggressor, leaving them today unable to find a way out of this strategic impasse.
3- Iran continues on the path of resistance against the “Greater Satan” and the “Lesser Satan,” i.e., the U.S. and Israel. However, is the stance of some Islamic governments not contradictory to the Prophet’s ﷺ words: “Whoever hears a man calling, ‘O Muslims!’ and does not respond, is not a Muslim”? What kind of Islam is this?
4- Some countries have gone further, declaring Iran as their enemy because it targeted U.S. and Israeli bases and interests in their territories. Should Iran stand idly by while U.S. bases in your countries are used to attack it? These are flimsy excuses. Today, the confrontation is between the U.S. and Israel on one side, and Iran and the Resistance forces on the other. Which side are you on?
5- Consider the future of the Islamic world. You know that America is untrustworthy and Israel is your enemy. Pause and reflect on yourselves and the future of the region. Iran advises you sincerely and does not seek to dominate you.
6- If the unity of the Islamic Ummah is achieved with full strength, it can ensure security, progress, and independence for all its countries. Peace be upon you.
A servant of God,
Ali Larijani
