
The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected the weather tomorrow to be partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with high clouds, with a slight further drop in temperatures, continued fog formation over the highlands, and occasionally active winds.
The bulletin stated the following:
General situation: Unsettled spring weather is affecting Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin today, Monday, under the influence of relatively cold and humid air masses, leading to lower temperatures and some scattered rainfall, especially in inland and southern areas, with the weather gradually stabilizing from the evening onward. The region is expected to be affected on Wednesday evening by a low-pressure system of limited effectiveness originating from southwestern Turkey.
Note: Average temperatures for May: Beirut between 18 and 27 degrees, Tripoli between 15 and 25, and Zahle between 13 and 27 degrees.
Expected weather in Lebanon:
Monday: Cloudy with medium-level clouds and a noticeable drop in temperatures, which will fall below seasonal averages. Humidity will rise, and scattered muddy rain is expected, especially in inland and southern areas. Fog will form over the highlands, and winds will occasionally become active, with the weather gradually stabilizing from the afternoon onward.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with high clouds, with a slight further drop in temperatures and continued fog formation over the highlands, along with occasionally active winds.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy with medium-level clouds and no significant change in temperatures, with fog over the highlands. Winds will become active, reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h, especially in the north of the country. Clouds will thicken at night and scattered rain will fall.
Thursday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a marked drop in temperatures, which will become around 5 degrees below seasonal averages. Fog will form over the highlands, and scattered rain is expected, with a chance of thunder and lightning and active winds accompanied by wide sunny intervals. Rain chances will ease at night and the weather will gradually stabilize.
