
The Media Commission of the Progressive Socialist Party categorically denied the information published in the newspaper Nidaa Al-Watan regarding Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s alleged failure to respond to phone calls made by Democratic Gathering member MP Wael Abu Faour.
In a statement, the commission stressed that what was published has no basis in الحقيقة, considering that these claims lack accuracy and are not based on any factual information, and emphasizing the inaccuracy of the circulating account.
The Media Commission called on media outlets and journalists to exercise the highest levels of verification before publishing news, and to refer back to official and reliable sources, in order to preserve professional standards and avoid the circulation of inaccurate information or accounts not grounded in facts.
The commission concluded by underscoring the importance of adhering to journalistic standards that safeguard the public’s right to obtain accurate and reliable information.
