Economy Minister Amer Al-Bisat confirmed that the project to build prefabricated homes in the South has moved into the implementation phase, noting that priority will be given to towns where the return of the displaced has already begun, with the aim of accelerating residents’ return and strengthening their resilience in their villages.
Al-Bisat explained in an interview with Al-Jadeed TV that Lebanon needs backing from sisterly countries, including the United States, in order to apply a gradual approach based on the principle of “withdrawal in exchange for sovereignty.”
He stressed that there is no fragmentation within the government, noting that the various debates taking place during its sessions fall within the normal democratic framework.
Regarding foreign relations, Al-Bisat affirmed that no party has any desire for military intervention in Lebanon, stressing that relations are based on mutual respect.
