The "Imminent" Agreement: Will It End Lebanon’s War?

A draft memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran stipulates an end to the war between Israel and "the party" in Lebanon.

Axios quoted a U.S. official as saying that "the agreement allows Israel to take action in Lebanon if Hezbollah attempts to rearm itself."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed to U.S. President Donald Trump his concern over the clause requiring an end to the war against "the party."

The Fars News Agency also reported that the text of the potential agreement requires Iran and its allies to refrain from attacking the United States and its allies.
