Lebanese-Kuwaiti call between President Aoun and the Emir of Kuwait affirms the strength of relations and shared solidarity between the two countries

President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun made a phone call before noon today to the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during which they reviewed the current situation in Lebanon, Kuwait, and the region in light of the latest developments. During the call, President Aoun expressed the solidarity of the Lebanese people with the brotherly Kuwaiti people in these delicate circumstances facing the region, thanking Kuwait—its Emir, government, and people—for the support it has provided, and continues to provide, to Lebanon and its people, and wishing it lasting stability and security.

The Emir of Kuwait thanked President Aoun for his sentiments, affirming Kuwait’s constant support for Lebanon and its people, especially at the current sensitive stage, and its backing for the steps Lebanon is taking to achieve security and stability and restore its sovereignty over all its territory.
