Trump reveals a strategic decision: blockading Iran and replacing tariffs with massive Gulf deals

U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social account:

"Oil is flowing as never before, thanks to the tremendous strength of the American military. A special salute to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, and Commander of U.S. Central Command Admiral Brad Cooper. Thanks to them, and to all the members of the strongest military in the world, by far, the Strait of Hormuz is open to all shipping traffic except Iran — because of its lying, violent, and malicious leadership, which is taking it down the path of total destruction. Therefore, we will impose a complete blockade, but only on ships coming from and going to Iranian ports, or carrying anything related to Iranian shipments. Based on highly productive talks with Middle Eastern leaders, I have decided to replace the 20% American recapture tariffs with trade and investment deals that various Gulf states will undertake in the United States. These investments will be massive, while at the same time being very good for them and for their future. As everyone knows, we have the largest dollar investment in the United States, from any country in history, but these new investments will make that figure even bigger, and we will see factories, facilities, and equipment flowing into the United States at historic levels, creating millions of additional high-paying American jobs! America is winning again, and winning like never before. The days of Iran killing hundreds of thousands of people, including 52,000 protesters, are over, and most importantly, Iran will never have a nuclear weapon!
