
Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh discussed in his office with Russia’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, bilateral relations and local and regional developments, in addition to cooperation between the two countries in the cultural sector and ways to develop it.
He said: "I met today with His Excellency the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, and the occasion allowed us to reaffirm the need to renew the joint work program in the cultural field between the two countries. We also discussed other activities of a cultural nature that we can undertake with the participation of the younger generation in Lebanon. We also addressed a number of public affairs in the country and in the region, matters that concern us all and also concern our Russian friends."
Rudakov noted that "first of all, we are very grateful to Minister Salameh for this opportunity to exchange views and ideas in light of the critical regional situation. And of course, we discussed many topics related to cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture. In fact, we are here to build and encourage the development of relations in this field. We also touched with Minister Salameh on developments in Lebanon and the region, and he is an expert and a figure chosen by all parties at the United Nations and in Russia."
He added: "We discussed many topics of concern to Lebanon, Russia, the region, and even the situation in Russia."
