Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi addressed a direct message to U.S. President Donald Trump during his participation in the Egyps exhibition on Monday, urging him to intervene to halt the military escalation in the region.
Sisi stated: "I speak to you in the name of humanity and in the name of all peace lovers, and you are one of them. I send you a direct message on behalf of the entire region and the world regarding the severe consequences of continuing the war. Please help us stop the war—you are capable of doing so."
The Egyptian president added: "We hope this crisis ends well. I come from a generation that witnessed wars—the Tripartite Aggression in 1956, the Yemen War, the June 5, 1967 War, and October 6, 1973 War—and they all had one outcome: loss, destruction, and devastation, and no one emerged victorious."
