The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin to remain under the influence of a low-pressure system accompanied by cold air masses centered south of Turkey, with heavy rain and snowfall continuing and temperatures remaining below seasonal averages.
The low-pressure system will begin to recede from this evening as it moves eastward, while some local fluctuations will persist tomorrow, Wednesday. The weather will gradually stabilize starting tomorrow afternoon. Temperatures are expected to rise on Thursday, and from Friday the region will be affected by warm air masses, pushing temperatures above seasonal norms over the weekend.
