New fuel price schedule... sweeping increases raise the cost of living

Fuel prices in Lebanon recorded a new increase under the price schedule issued today, with the price of a 95-octane gasoline canister rising by 43,000 Lebanese pounds, while 98-octane gasoline increased by 42,000 pounds. The price of a diesel canister also climbed by 91,000 pounds, while the price of a gas cylinder remained unchanged.

The new prices are as follows:

95-octane gasoline: 2,277,000 Lebanese pounds.

98-octane gasoline: 2,294,000 Lebanese pounds.

Diesel: 1,938,000 Lebanese pounds.

Gas: 1,115,000 Lebanese pounds.
