Trump: “For 47 years, Iran has been playing with the United States and the rest of the world”

U.S. President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on Iran and previous U.S. administrations, particularly that of former President Barack Obama, accusing them of granting Tehran enormous financial and political gains at the expense of Washington’s allies.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform:

“For 47 years, Iran has been playing games with the United States and the rest of the world (delay, delay, delay!), and then in the end they hit the jackpot when Barack Hussein Obama became president. He was not only good to them, he was great — he took their side, abandoned Israel and all the other allies, and gave Iran a major and very powerful new lease on life. Hundreds of billions of dollars, and $1.7 billion in cash in greenbacks, were flown to Tehran and handed to them on a silver platter. Every bank in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland was emptied out — the amount was so large that when it arrived, the Iranian ‘thugs’ had no idea what to do with it. They had never seen money like that before, and they will never see it again. It was unloaded from the plane in bags and suitcases, and the Iranians could not believe their luck. They had finally found the greatest ‘sucker’ of all time, in the form of a weak and stupid American president. He was a disaster as our ‘leader,’ but he was no worse than ‘Sleepy Joe’ Biden! For 47 years, the Iranians have been ‘stringing us along’ and stalling us, keeping us waiting, killing our people with their roadside bombs, suppressing protests, and most recently they killed 42,000 innocent, unarmed protesters, while laughing at our country, which is now great again. But they will not be laughing anymore!”
