
President Joseph Aoun received a delegation from Save the Children, during which the organization’s activities in Lebanon were reviewed amid the ongoing war and current crisis.
During the meeting, it was noted that the number of displaced people has exceeded one million, while more than 100 children have fallen victim to the escalation. The delegation presented an overview of its programs focused on supporting children in education, healthcare, and protection, in addition to its response to the needs of affected and displaced families across various regions.
Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination between relevant authorities and international organizations to ensure the necessary support for the most vulnerable children and families during this critical phase.
President Aoun emphasized the need to intensify efforts to protect children, ensure the continuity of their education, and secure their basic needs under these exceptional circumstances.
