The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As a result of the escalating Israeli aggression against Lebanon, particularly in areas witnessing hostile incursions around southern border towns—leading to the encirclement, isolation, and disruption of supply lines to deployed army units—the Army has carried out a repositioning and redeployment operation involving a number of these units.
The Command also affirmed that it continues to stand by the residents within available capabilities, by maintaining a number of military personnel in those towns.
As Israeli attacks persist without distinction between military personnel and civilians across various regions, the Army Command stressed the danger of incitement and attempts to undermine the role of the military institution by certain media outlets and social media platforms. It warned of the negative repercussions such actions may have on civilians and internal stability, while emphasizing that the Army is exerting maximum efforts to fulfill its duties within the available means, amid significant pressures and challenges resulting from the current sensitive circumstances.
