Decisive U.S. Conditions Redraw the Course of Iran’s Nuclear File and Frozen Assets

The Fars News Agency, citing informed sources, reported details of a set of conditions it said Washington has laid down in the context of any negotiating track with Tehran.

According to the agency, the United States stipulated that no financial compensation be paid to Iran, while also demanding the handover of about 400 kilograms of enriched Iranian uranium.

It also indicated that the conditions included keeping only one nuclear facility operational inside Iran, in addition to restricting the release of frozen Iranian assets so that it does not exceed 25 percent.

Fars also noted that Washington has linked the issue of halting escalation or war across various regional arenas to progress in the course of negotiations between the two sides.
