Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot announced on X that “along with his counterparts from Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Moldova, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Spain, and Sweden, they issued a joint statement conveying a clear message, namely that ‘Hezbollah must cease all hostilities and disarm, Israel must respect Lebanon’s sovereignty, and military operations from both sides must stop.’”
He added, “Lebanon is on the brink of collapse. 1.2 million displaced. More than 1,000 dead, including children, aid workers, and journalists.
This situation cannot continue.”
The minister emphasized “his intention to travel to Beirut next week, because Lebanon needs more than just statements; it needs presence, support, and a clear message that we will not ignore the matter.”
