
A delegation from the Free Patriotic Movement, comprising MP Cesar Abi Khalil and Antoine Constantine, political adviser to the party’s leader, met with Independence Movement leader MP Michel Moawad and handed him the “Proposal to Protect Lebanon.”
The meeting provided an opportunity for a frank exchange of views and underscored the need to keep channels of dialogue open during this delicate phase Lebanon is going through.
In the same context, a delegation from the Movement met with the Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Beirut, Daniel Kourieh, and handed him the Proposal to Protect Lebanon.
The delegation included MP Edgar Traboulsi, former minister Gaby Layoun, and lawyers Rima Sleiman from the Spiritual Relations Department and Ramzi Dassoum from the Political Relations Department.
Another delegation from the Movement also delivered the Proposal to Protect Lebanon to the Patriarchal Vicar for the Beirut Archeparchy of the Syriac Catholics, Bishop Charles Murad. The delegation included former minister Gaby Layoun, Rony Gedeon from the Spiritual Relations Department, and lawyers Rima Sleiman and Ramzi Dassoum.
