
Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri announced from the Grand Serail that: “There is a national committee for international humanitarian law tasked with documenting violations of the law. It is carrying out its duty and preparing detailed reports with figures and evidence.”
He added: “The government wants to raise the issue of violations before international forums, and there is an intention to hold a special session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva at which Lebanon will present its position. A delegation from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights will come to Lebanon to examine the evidence and listen to citizens’ testimonies.”
