Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev has warned of the consequences of what he described as poor management of the energy sector, stating that Europe is heading toward a deep crisis due to delays in taking necessary measures.
Dmitriev pointed out that European authorities have failed to address escalating challenges, noting that pro-war advocates in Europe were ten years late in diversifying energy sources and a full month late in recognizing the severity of the current energy crisis, further worsening its potential impact.
He added that continuing on this path could lead to catastrophic outcomes, potentially resulting in the destruction of the European Union and the United Kingdom, in the absence of a serious policy reassessment.
He added: “Officials must stop moving down the wrong path and atone for their mistake.”
