Salam: Attacks on Saudi Arabia threaten regional and international peace ... and we affirm our support for its right to protect its security.

Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam:

We condemn in the strongest terms the attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which constitute a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and a direct threat to the security and stability of the entire region, as well as to international peace and security. They cannot be justified under any pretext.

As we affirm our full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia—its leadership, government, and people—we declare our steadfast support for it in confronting everything that threatens its security and sovereignty. We support its full right to take whatever measures it deems necessary to protect its territory, citizens, and interests, based on the legitimate right of self-defense.

The continuation of these attacks reveals a dangerous determination to undermine efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in the Arabian Gulf.
