Member of the party’s political council, Wafiq Safa, signaled potential escalatory approaches in dealing with government decisions, noting that the coming phase may witness shifts in the nature of political confrontation.
Safa stressed that the party will not stand idly by in the face of any decision targeting its activities, emphasizing that the response will not be conventional and may take different forms depending on the circumstances.
He said:
“We will force the government to reverse its decision to ban Hezbollah’s military activities after the war, regardless of the means.”
Regarding street action, Safa indicated that escalation is not currently on the table, but did not rule out a change in approach at a later stage, adding:
“We will not bring down the government in the streets for now, but a different agenda awaits after the war.”
On the security and military level, Safa revealed that the breaches experienced during the previous war have been addressed, noting that the party has worked on enhancing its capabilities in this regard.
He said:
“We have addressed the security and technological breach we suffered during the previous war.”
He also pointed to ongoing military preparations, with a particular focus on developing specific capabilities, adding:
“There will be surprises, especially regarding loitering drones, and we have prepared for a long-term war.”
