Syrian security reveals documents of the cell accused of bombing the Ministry of Defense building

Syrian authorities have revealed the results of the preliminary investigations with members of a terrorist cell recently arrested, confirming its involvement in the bombing that targeted the Armament Administration building التابعة to the Ministry of Defense in the capital, Damascus, during last May.

The competent authorities explained that the investigations, supported by analysis of technical evidence and a review of security data, showed the cell members’ involvement in carrying out the attack, after collecting information and evidence linked to the operation.

According to the investigation findings, the cell members confessed to carrying out the bombing as part of a plan targeting public institutions, with the aim of undermining security stability and stirring chaos among citizens.

The authorities confirmed that judicial and security measures are continuing against those involved, as part of efforts to pursue networks seeking to strike at the country’s security and stability.
