Araghchi ignites the confrontation: Iran vows to open a front of retaliation against all supporters of Washington

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed that his country will hold fully responsible any state that becomes involved in supporting, cooperating with, or assisting U.S. military operations against Iran, stressing that Tehran reserves the right to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to defend itself.

Araghchi said, during a speech delivered at a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Kyrgyzstan, that “any participation, cooperation, or assistance in carrying out an act of aggression against Iran will entail international responsibility for the parties concerned,” emphasizing that his country will not relinquish its right to respond to what it considers attacks targeting its security and sovereignty.

The Iranian minister’s remarks come amid escalating regional tensions, against the backdrop of mutual warnings between Tehran and Washington over the repercussions of any potential military confrontation, raising international concern over the widening scope of escalation.
