Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry revealed that talks have begun between the United States and Iran aimed at calming escalating tensions, following a new round of U.S. strikes targeting sites inside Iran during the night.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry explained that the negotiations are focused in particular on the Strait of Hormuz, in an effort to reduce the level of escalation and prevent the confrontation from spreading, stressing that Islamabad is continuing its diplomatic efforts to bring the parties back to the path of the memorandum of understanding signed in June, which is intended to pave the way toward ending the war.
Pakistan affirmed that it is exerting its utmost efforts to reach a political settlement that would end the current tensions and restore stability to the region.
